This is the definition of a psychological thriller. A girl raised, not realizing her father trapped her mother and they were separated from the real world. After starting a whole new life, her father escapes. It is a character study and Daisy Ridley plays the trauma but nostalgia for her childhood well. You can see and feel the conflicted feelings because she grew up one way but learned it never should have happened. The performances are great. It isn’t groundbreaking but feels fresh in its own way. I highly recommend it.
