The Expendables 4 (Released 9/22/23)

Such a hollow shell of what it was supposed to be. The action is great as always but there are two things I didn’t like. The CGI felt god-awful compared to the previous films. With the previous films, they celebrated the action genre and paid homage to the classics. This felt like the budget-constrained them to 2 big stars, Megan Fox, and action guys with nothing better going on. They couldn’t even get Antonio Banderas back! I honestly was going to rate the story lower but there is a twist at the end that was equal part brilliant and part stupid. If your testosterone has gotten too low since Fast X, give it a watch. Just don’t expect the greatest movie ever.
