The Expendables 2 (2012)

I can’t believe this movie came out the same year as the first Avengers movie. It is starting to dawn on me that these are basically just Avengers movies but it's about the actors and not the characters. They had Chuck Norris and even made a Chuck Norris joke. Remember when those were a thing? There were so many references to famous catchphrases and movies. They even squeaked in an Indiana Jones quote for Harrison Ford even though he wasn’t in it. The roundhouse expert himself, Van Damme, was the villain. Baby Hemsworth was fridged but like the manly version. He was a good kid trying to make some money with his skills for his family. He becomes the reason it becomes personal for the team. Great action and quips. It was a good time all around.
