While this film didn’t break much ground in the way of haunting movies, it was made with the proper passion and storytelling. There was a natural build as the haunting became more and more dangerous. Being a possession/haunting movie, I did have a good laugh at the good ole banging their head on something. There was a good balance of scary and giving you a moment to breathe. It definitely could have been scarier, but the cinematography was done very well. It focused on the atmosphere with a few jump scares rather than the other way around. The characters seemed proper for the setting. It’s weird to say but sometimes characters can be too much or not enough at times. The only one that was a little too much was the officer but even he seemed reeled in. The movie passes quickly and never really drags too much. It also started its own mini-horror universe which is neat. I look forward to future installments.
