Superman Returns (2006)

This movie was meant to be a sideways continuation of the first 2 Christopher Reeve movies. I think this movie did a lot of good to pay homage to those movies. It modernized without taking away its spirit. It even continued the trend of things happening in a Superman movie that make no gosh darn sense. Brandon Routh did an amazing job and I would have loved to see him in sequels and explore the ramifications of having a super lad. It was a bit unnecessarily long but I never got bored. I’m glad Brandon got to don a Superman suit in the Arrowverse. This movie had issues, but I still hold this one close to my heart.
