Rocky 2 (1979)

Rocky 2 is a true sequel. Not only does it pick up where the last one left off, but it shows the aftermath of success. Rocky went the distance against the champion so everyone wants him to be a part of their investments. Rocky starts splurging and while he does share with Adrian and his friends, he starts losing his way. Adrian doesn’t want to see him hurt so she begs him to not fight which Rocky, being a good husband, listens to her. There are hardships following the euphoric income they received from the fight and promotions. It all gets overcome, leading to Adrian’s mutual support for Rocky to kick some ass. The story follows a natural progression while never forgetting who these characters are. This movie had all the heart and passion of the first outing plus some.
