Fant4stic (2015)

Sooo if you told me the Fantastic Four characters went into the public domain and an indie filmmaker took the reigns, this is what I’d expect. When I was trying to figure out the vibe, it was giving me Chronicle and Project Almanac vibes. Guess what, the director also made Chronicle. This movie has an asterisk by the score because I scored this as a movie and not a Marvel film like everything else in this category. Take out the comic book names and you have a knockoff, gritty Fantastic Four. Literally just change the title, character names, and tweak the powers and you have Chronicle 2. As a film, it's enjoyable enough. As a Marvel movie, they besmirched the name of the first family.
