This might be just me, but this movie felt like it did to Dungeons and Dragons what Free Guy did for video games. It was broad enough with a fun story to intrigue the average moviegoer while having enough references to appease the hardcore fans. The trailers capture the vibe of the film perfectly. There is lots of fun and witty humor. There are adventures and majestic locations that remind me of the Lord of the Rings films. It genuinely felt like a hybrid of Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and an 80s/90s fantasy comedy. It's a fun time with unique characters. The effects did need a bit more polishing but it gave the movie a bit more character and weirdly, a more nostalgic feel. Take the family to go see this one. You will not be disappointed.
