It was hard to find a showing of this movie. I was actually super excited to see a drama featuring Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman. This film was a very raw and emotional ride. It touches on the ideas of grief, addiction, and trying to move on. There were moments that I forgot I was watching a movie. Instead, I was feeling the same emotional weight as the characters. Everyone in the film handles their pain differently. But it all tied to one event that broke everyone. There were a handful of humorous moments that took the weight off for a moment, but never lets it weigh down the movie. Some scenes are drawn out but they serve the greater purpose of the story. I genuinely loved this movie and Highly recommend it. There is a fair amount of drug and alcohol abuse so if that is triggering or too real, maybe pass on it. Its a movie meant to make you feel human. We can all fall off the deep end for one reason or another. We just have to do our best to pick ourselves up, no matter how long it takes.
